Over the years we have worked hard to ensure we are being as fair and transparent as possible, but our pricing is comprised of several factors so it’s important to know all the costs that go into your bill.
(1) Our transportation cost is a flat rate for the truck + a per mile rate starting at our warehouse and round trip from there. (2) Labor is based on how many estimated hours the entire job should take + how many guys are needed. Don’t worry, once we agree on a price we don’t charge you more if we go over on time. (3) Heavy labor items (gun safes, pianos, some gym equipment, etc…) may incur additional charges depending on how heavy they are. This fee only applies to items over several hundred pounds, most household furniture does not fall into this category. (4) Packing materials and some specialty equipment we bring may have a cost associated with them. Any items that are not included with your invoice will be explained by your moving agent ahead of accepting payment.

Like most services in America it’s not uncommon to tip these days. While it’s not expected in any way, all tips are always appreciated. Most common are amounts of $20-$100 per mover, but it is never required or expected in any way.
-
While our 10% down-payments are non-refundable, it is possible to change the date of your move if necessary.
Since other clients have also paid down-payments to lock in their dates, your new date may not be the one you prefer but we guarantee to complete your move as close to your newly requested date as possible or on the next available date on our schedule.
-
A binding estimate is a written agreement made in advance with your mover, indicating you and the mover are bound by the charges.
It guarantees the total cost of the move based upon the quantities and services shown on your mover's estimate. Basically, as long as everything is the same as the day we quoted you, we won’t up-charge you in any way! Your price and date is locked in as soon as you pay your 10% non-refundable down-payment.
-
We never have any additional fees or “hidden” charges. We may be forced to change our final total however if additional items are added to your order that were not originally discussed during your free consultation.
-
After you submit your information via our Contact Page, we will reach out and schedule your free in-home consultation.
From there we walk with you through the home or business and make a detailed summary of everything that is or isn’t going. We may take some photos to help us later with the quote process so we can be sure not to forget anything on the invoice. Typically you will receive the quote the same day as your consultation, if not, then within 24-hrs. If you have not received your quote within 24-hrs please check your spam folder before contacting us.

We currently offer 3 types of storage.
Overnight, same-truck storage: when your load and unload need to be completed on separate dates. We can keep your items in the original truck, starting at $75 per night.
Short-term: anything less than 3 months. Short term storage will depend on how much sqft your belongings take up in the warehouse, plus a small fee for unloading and re-loading the truck when it comes time to deliver your belongings.
Long-term storage: anything longer than 3 months. Generally cheaper than short-term, but final pricing will depend on how much sqft your belongings take up in the warehouse, plus a small fee for unloading and re-loading the truck when it comes time to deliver your belongings.

We are a dedicated group of 9 guys that are typically broken into 2-4 teams each day depending on what the day necessitates.

We make sure your home is protected before we step through the threshold by laying down a high density neoprene runner on your floor.
Narrow doors, railings, and other obstacles may be removed to avoid any possible chance of damage. Your furniture is wrapped with thick commercial grade moving blankets. All glass items (china cabinets, mirrors, TV’s, etc…) are either boxed or wrapped individually, or covered in several layers of cardboard, blankets, and plastic wrap to make sure they don’t crack or break along the way. Other non-fragile items like mattresses and couches are also covered in bags or plastic wrap to make sure they don’t get dirty or scuffed.
-
To ensure that your quote is 100% accurate it’s vital that we lay eyes on your belongings.
If we are packing you as well, we will go through your cabinets and drawers to make sure we know exactly what we’re packing and to show you items that we are prohibited from bringing on the trucks. Virtual consultations are likely to lead to missed items and could result in an inaccurate quote. All virtual quotes are subject to a 15% error margin.
Other companies may give you a rate over the phone but what’s to stop them from taking forever to complete your move and count every billable hour possible?

All moving companies are required by federal law to offer two types of coverage. The type you select will determine the reimbursement you’ll receive if any of your items are lost or damaged. The two types are:
Released value protection. This coverage is offered at no additional cost but provides only minimal protection. With released value protection, you’ll receive up to 60 cents per pound for an item. Therefore, if your five-pound computer is valued at $600, you would only receive $3 if your item is lost or damaged (60 cents * 5 pounds).
Separate liability coverage. Some movers also offer separate liability coverage through a third-party insurance company for an additional charge. While your mover is still responsible for the released value protection, which covers only up to 60 cents per pound, this additional insurance policy will cover the rest of the loss up to the policy limits. This option, either through us or a separate third-party typically costs between 1%-5% of the valuation estimate.

What isn’t covered under insurance?
Packing any perishable, dangerous or hazardous materials without informing your movers of these items
Deciding to pack some of your own items to save money may make it challenging to submit a claim if the items are damaged due to your own packing efforts
Failing to inform your mover in writing if any items hold significant value
Damage from natural disasters, such as a tornado
Damage caused by improper self-packaging
Normal shifting of cargo
Theft of cargo (overnight storage is kept in the original locked truck that the items were loaded into and kept outside, not kept in our secure storage facility)
-
Storage pricing includes $20,000 insurance policy that covers the following: Fire, Smoke, Lightning, Vermin, Hurricane, Tornado, Wind, Flood, Hail, Earthquake, Building Collapse, Explosion, Vandalism, Leaking Water.
Insurance does not cover: Jewelry, Financial Records, Currency, Deeds & Documents, Works of Art, Antiques, Securities, Stamps, Watches, Precious Stones, Furs (or garments trimmed with fur), Motor Vehicles (licensed or not, such as motor scooters, ATVs, Tractors, Motorcycles, and/or Lawnmowers. No coverage for loss caused by or resulting from climate conditions like rust or mildew.
GENERAL
-
For the majority of our in-state (MN) clients we can manage to complete the move in one single day. Start time is 8am-9am and we usually have you in your new home in time for dinner!
-
Besides the items listed under our “What can’t you move?” the answer is yes! You’re more than welcome to transport anything valuable or fragile in your personal vehicle, we won’t be offended when you put great-grandpa’s guitar in the backseat of your car.
-
As soon as you know you’re moving! Our quotes do not change or fluctuate from the day we create them as long as everything remains the same.
If you’re lucky enough to have plenty of time to move, don’t wait until the last minute to contact a moving company. Most moving companies are booked out at least 2-4 weeks in advance and it may be difficult if not impossible to get you on the schedule sooner than that.
-
While we don’t charge a weekend up-charge like our competitors it’s important to remember it may take you a few days at least to fully unpack and get into your rhythm again.
If you own the previous or new residence, select a day that doesn’t affect your final walk-through or closing day negatively. You may need to step away for a few hours to sign paperwork or not be allowed into the new home until a certain time. Be sure to talk with your realtor ahead of your consultation so you’re confident in your decision.

There are many moving companies online to choose from. Of course, we hope that you select us but we know we can’t move every single person that needs assistance.
When searching, it’s important to weight these 3 main factors: (1) Do they do free in-home consultations? (2) Were they referred, are they reputable and accredited, or are they well reviewed? (3) Do they offer binding estimates or charge hourly?
By comparing these 3 factors you can narrow down your list of potential movers down to a small few. From there, ask what that company will do to protect your belongings and your home. Ask them what their home-prepping procedure is and how they ensure your items will arrive safely. The best companies don’t waiver on safety and will always do it for a fair flat price, with no chances for an up-charge or hidden fee later.
-
No one’s going to stop you from putting an Apple AirTag or a Tile tracker in one of your boxes. We don’t mind.
For all in-state moves (MN), there is no tracking available since we typically follow you to the new home where you’ll let us in. For out of state moves further than the neighboring states there is a tracking feature available at no additional cost. Just ask your representative during the free consultation for details.

For most individuals we suggest you follow the steps listed here.
-
License and registration: Head over to the local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for a new license and vehicle registration.
Employer: Keeping your employer informed about your move will ensure all paychecks, important documents and communications find you.
Financial and tax institutions: Notify financial bodies, including your bank and credit card companies, about the change. You can file the move with the IRS and your tax preparer to stay compliant come tax season.
Voter registration: If you’ve moved from your previous voting district, update your voter registration to participate in future local elections.
Emergency contact list: In a dangerous situation, having an updated contact list that includes essential numbers for local emergency services will allow you to get help faster.
Health care information: If you moved a significant distance away, you’ll want to transfer your medical records to new health care, dental and veterinary providers in the area.
City services: Sign up for essential city services, like electricity, gas, trash and recycling pickup, to keep your new home clean and well-maintained during and after the move-in process.
